About Our Diamond Sports Program
From developmental programming, camps, and private coaching, to rec leagues and competitive travel teams, The St. James is the premier venue for baseball and softball players of all ages. We offer:
- Access to our Hitting House, complete with six tunnels for pitching and hitting practice with Hack Attack machines.
- Private and semi-private coaching customized to every age, position and skill level
- Developmental programs focused on teaching technical skills, agility and focus in our Strength & Conditioning House
- Camps and clinics targeting specific skill development, including hitting, pitching, and fielding
- Tournaments and leagues where you can compete with and against others who share your passion for baseball and softball
STJ Academy
We are proud to announce Steve Bumbry as the Head Baseball Coach of The St. James Performance Academy, while he continues to lead the charge of our elite baseball program.
As part of this expansion, The St. James Performance Academy will introduce elementary, middle school, high school and post-graduate baseball teams, providing athletes with competitive opportunities at the appropriate level. These teams will compete on a regional and national level preparing players for the next stage of their athletic careers through elite coaching, strength & conditioning, and high-level gameplay.

Baseball Summer Camp - Junior Sluggers
The Jr. Sluggers Baseball Camp at The St. James is perfect for young athletes eager to sharpen their baseball and softball skills. Campers receive expert guidance on hitting, pitching, fielding, and catching, with drills held in top-tier batting cages and on the field. Designed to build confidence, teamwork, and versatility, players explore various positions and apply their skills in fun, competitive scrimmages.

Baseball & Softball Summer Camp - Intermediate
The Intermediate Baseball & Softball Camp at The St. James offers a focused training experience for players aged 9-13 who are ready to elevate their skills on the full 90' diamond. With an emphasis on refining advanced techniques like swing mechanics, pitch recognition, and situational play, campers receive personalized feedback and expert coaching across all position groups. Through dedicated sessions in the batting cages and on-field drills, players enhance their batting, pitching, and fielding skills.

School's Out Day Camps
We know how difficult it is to find suitable care for your children on student holidays. The St. James has you covered with our new Ultimate Sports & Adventure Day Camp! A wide range of sports and activities, your child will get to explore lots of new games and adventures. Campers will have the chance to compete in our fieldhouse, try out their skills in our courthouse, and explore their digital and creative side in our Super Awesome & Amazing facility.

Baseball & Softball Leagues
Spring T-Ball Program
Often a family's first introduction to competitive baseball is T-Ball. The St. James is looking forward to providing a T-Ball experience for children (ages 4-6) that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals that is key to growing a child's love for the game of baseball. TSJ baseball developed a Quickball curriculum that has been shown to improve the experience for players, parents, and coaches. The curriculum is used to provide a greater understanding and foundation for the game of baseball to all parents and emerging players.

Batting Cages
Up your average in our state-of-the-art hitting house, complete with 6 batting cages and the latest in hit-tracking technology.
The St. James Hitting House Batting Cages in Springfield, Virginia are available for reservations in 30 minute blocks for members and non-members, and can also be rented by outside baseball and softball teams. For more information about baseball team batting cage rentals, please contact baseball@thestjames.com. Team prices may vary from member/guest cage time.
