STJ Field Hockey Program

Through the acquisition of Jackals Field Hockey Club, The St. James now provides a comprehensive developmental field hockey program with a pathway for athletes ages 8-18 to achieve their high school and collegiate goals. Athletes in the Washington, DC Metro area will have access to world-class indoor facilities, exceptional coaching, performance training programs, and a wide range of field hockey camps, clinics, and leagues for all ages and skill levels.

Jackals (Maryland) Field Hockey Team

Jackals Travel (U10-U19) represents the highest level of play due to a combination of intense training, dedication, and competition. Athletes of all ages can compete alongside the top players in the area. With year-round training and tournament play, Jackals Travel consistently works to develop the elite field hockey player.

• Elite Instruction: training by the area’s most experienced and successful coaches and former players. Focus on technical training, off-ball movement, field sense.
• Fitness: practice sessions with an array of speed, agility and fitness trainers
• Specialized Training: sessions tailored to the development of specific skills and positions, led by specialists including our goalie coaches and experienced guest coaches.
• Competitive Environment: rigorous schedules and elite-level play against the top teams from around the country.

Tryout Information

When: Saturday, March 8th @ 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
Location: Stone Ridge School, Bethesda, MD

National Indoor Tournament (NIT): Teams compete to qualify for this prestigious event, with selections occurring in December. Participation provides exposure to the nation’s best teams.

Schedule: 2 practices per week, local play days, and winter tournament participation.

College Recruitment Support: Comprehensive guidance on the recruitment process, including:

• Access to national tournaments and showcases.
• Informational meetings and written materials.
• Nearly 200 players have advanced to collegiate programs across Division I, II, and III.
